Organization: Wirenet Amiga Internet X-Info: The UK's first Amiga-only Internet Access Provider Hi Sandy, > Hi Neil & Happy New Year :) And to you :) > Anyway - ATM I'm having problems downloading mail with Thor. The download > seems to stop at a random mail then eventually ConnectThor seems to time out > with "unable to receive data from host" or summat like that. I initially > thought it was a bad mail & deleted it by telnetting to the mailbox or using > Webmail to delete it. However the download just stops at a different mail on > my next attempt. It's unusual for THOR to stall on bad messages, the current version is pretty robust in this respect. I wonder if it's another mail that's actually causing the problem, maybe the one before the one you stall on. > I then went to the PC & downloaded all the mails without problem. > Unfortunately it does not appear to be deleting them from the server & I cant > find an option in the MS program to do so. When I next get mail on the PC it > only downloaded "new" mail, but when I try Thor it starts downloading at 1 of > 800+. And then it stalls at what seems to be a random mail. Could you try downloading mail on your PC and then deleting it all by webmail? > I can get one of the U-Net support chaps to delete all the mails but before I > do that I thought I would see if you had any ideas? I have been using Thor > for nearly 2 years without any problems. I've never heard of a mail causing problems for Thor 2.5 (earlier versions did have some troubles with certain mailers).
